Emergency and urgent care is coming to Evansville. In early December 2026, Veterinary Specialist Partners & Urgent Care (VSP) opens our new hospital at 1120 Professional Blvd, Evansville, IN 47714. It brings emergency and urgent care and advanced imaging to dogs and cats across Southwestern Indiana and the Tri State area.
Emergency and Urgent Care, Wednesday Through Sunday
The new hospital’s emergency and urgent care service will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 AM to 10 PM. Our emergency team will triage, stabilize and treat pets with life threatening problems, and see the same day illnesses and injuries that can’t wait for a regular appointment.
Our ER doctors are backed by board certified specialists on call to assist remotely with urgent and emergency cases. That support helps our team start the right workup early and avoid repeating tests. Not every pet needs a specialist, but when one does, we book a specialty appointment.
Just like VSP Louisville, the new hospital won’t hospitalize overnight. If your pet needs care through the night, we stabilize them and coordinate a transfer to a trusted 24 hour hospital so care continues without starting over.
Specialty Care by Appointment
VSP Evansville’s specialists care for dogs and cats with internal medicine, oncology (including chemotherapy), cardiology and medical neurology, and they can consult on any condition. Urohydropropulsion and ethanol ablation are performed in Evansville. Other interventional radiology procedures are done at VSP Louisville. Once the new hospital opens, all of VSP Evansville, including specialty appointments, will be under one roof at 1120 Professional Blvd.
Advanced Imaging and Endoscopy
The new hospital adds a 64 slice CT scanner, fluoroscopy and endoscopy, including rhinoscopy, cystoscopy, otoscopy and GI endoscopy, alongside ultrasound. Having these in Evansville means many pets can get answers closer to home.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is coming to VSP Evansville in spring 2027. Until then, it’s available at VSP Louisville.
Until We Open
Specialty appointments continue at 104 S. Heidelbach Ave on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 AM to 2 PM. That location doesn’t see emergencies, so if your pet has an emergency before the new hospital opens, go to the nearest emergency hospital right away. VSP Louisville’s emergency team is available every day until 10 PM. When the new hospital opens, our Heidelbach Avenue location will move into the new building.
